I love things that give me an adrenaline rush

I grew up playing basketball & badminton, training at 6am most of my life, competing at state & national level. That lifestyle has stuck with me. I enjoy my free time outside and I love learning new things and bettering my old ones. I have had the absolute pleasure of learning how to surf and dance - 2 things I picked up in my adult life. Last year, I got the incredible opportunity to perform at National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai with my Jazz group. I love playing golf with my dad. I also got my green belt in Karate in 2024. Last year I got to run my first quarter marathon in Mumbai organised by Nike for women. Funnily enough it sounds unreal like a brag to me as I write this (maybe this imposter syndrome is real) but this life I am grateful for. Sports teach you a lot about collaboration, discipline and not giving up. They also teach you about structure and flow — a few things that help me drive my design.

I was a closeted sketcher in grade 7

My mother and grandmother are both artists and painters and growing up with my mother teaching art to colony kids, I picked up a few things and would always practice secretly. Secretly because at the time the expectations were to focus on sports and studies but that secret was my foundation for design. When I decided to leave finance all I knew was sketching and I freelanced as an illustrator. Whenever I can, I sketch, paint & photoshop graphics — the single greatest thing I can do for 14 hours straight. My sketchbook tour is available here.

Art in motion excites and intrigues me
