I love things that give me an adrenaline rush
I grew up playing basketball & badminton, training would start at 6am most of my life, even competed at state & national level competitions. That lifestyle has stuck with me. I enjoy my free time outside and I love learning new things and improving my old skills. I have had the absolute pleasure of learning how to surf and dance - 2 things I picked up in my adult life. Last year, I got to perform at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai with my Jazz group and I ran my first 10k marathon with Nike. I also got my green belt in Karate in 2024. Funnily enough it sounds unreal or a brag to me as I write this butI am grateful for all of this. Sports teach you a lot about team work ,hard work, discipline and grit. It also brings structure and flow — a few things that help me drive my design. I love playing golf with my dad whenever I get a chance to.
Gaming was my entry point
I was fascinated by video games since a very young age and would just get away to play games on the computer when mum went for her afternoon nap. This photo is from one of the times I was caught. I didn't love them as much as I was drawn and addicted to them. At some point in high school, I started taking my brother's PSP to school and once again when I was caught my mum gave me a bet to score 95% in my boards and she would buy me anything I wanted (all cash). I scored and got a PS4; I still have that with a stack of CDs I spent 8-9 hours a day playing and finishing. The story, the visuals and the experience kept me engaged and how so much so that at one point I wanted to be a game designer and a part of the Call of Duty design team.

I was a closeted artist in grade 7
My mother and grandmother are both artists and painters and growing up around my mother's art classes, I picked up a few things and would always practice secretly. Secretly because at the time the expectations were to focus on sports and studies but that secret was my foundation for art & design. When I decided to leave finance all I knew was sketching and I freelanced as an illustrator. Whenever I can, I sketch, paint & photoshop graphics — something I can do for 14 hours straight.
Experimenting with animations
Animations are a nice outlet to let out the crazy and let creativity flow.
