Hi,
I am Ashima Rani Singh, a Product Designer based out of Mumbai, India currently working with Tequity. I have been working as a product designer for 2+ year with a focus on helping companies ship products that create a positive impact on users' lives. My design solutions are backed by data to help businesses reach their goals while building a user friendly product. So far I have worked with 3 start-ups on 2 MVP products and 1 revamp.

Design solutions have long fascinated me and to be able to work in this field everyday has brought me joy and given me a purpose for 5 years and running. I graduated in 2019 with a major in Economics & Finance working in the renewable energy sector and wealth management firms. The practices of economics & finance inform my knowledge of consumer behaviour and data analysis.

Currently learning code & creative code to expand my possibility of how bring out solution.

In 2021, I started freelancing as an Illustrator and Graphic Designer working with SocioWash to help brands like Tinder, HeroCycles and Nykaa on their campaigns. All my graphic design work is available on my Behance.

It is an initiative to provide people, dealing with bipolar, anxiety, depression and other mental illnesses, a product that helps them in tough times and situations. Designed like a map, this foldable A5 guide is the size of a wallet and can fit into a jeans pocket with ease

Created branding & social media collaterals for the brand as a senior graphic designer. Additional was responsible for the topical and festive campaigns the brand run from time to time for any new products. Successfully launches 5 festive competitions live.

Switching to Product Design

I had heard the term UI/UX at my agency and when I looked it up the one thing that really drew me in was this idea of designing something that people can use & interact with. As a Graphic Designer & Illustrator, I was making creatives that for an audience. People see your work, absorb and move on. As a Product Designer, I saw this incredible opportunity to make something that people would not just interact with but solution driven design that had the power to solve and bring a change in people's lives. 2 years since I made the switch to product design and this thought still drives me a 1000% to design for Impact.

John Maeda said something — Art makes us question things, Design helps us solve them and Technology makes those solutions possible. I am currently learning how to make every solution possible, AI has been a great tool.
